Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. Don't Lose Your Job

There are a lot of people on the Left, Liberals, and Democrats who are losing their job because they are going on social media to celebrate the killing of Charlie Kirk.   While you have freedom of speech from the government throwing you in jail for your speech, your employer can fire you if they feel your social media posts negatively affects their business.

But here is my warning to my fellow Conservatives, Republicans, MAGA, and people on the Right.   If you start posting about taking up arms against Americans, saying we are at war, or wishing death on political figures on the other side you should expect your employer to take action against you.  Charlie Kirk was all about having free, respectful, and open debates.  We must continue to win on our ideas.  The only way to make America and the world a better place is to keep talking.  So please keep being civil.  Let's keep being peaceful.  I love seeing the prayer vigils in memory of Charlie.  Do not go down to the level of those that hate us.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Matthew 5:43-44

What I Want for Trump 2.0

Here is what we know. Trump has won the Electoral College and will be the 47th President. He will win the popular vote. He will win all the swing states. The Republicans have won the Senate and will have at least 52 seats and possibly up to 54 seats. The House is still going to be very tight, but right now the Republicans have gained 1 seat and should remain in control of the House. Trump is likely to replace at least 2 Supreme Court Judges and possibly a 3rd.

What I don't want to see from Republicans this time is any BS. In 2016, Republicans fought Trump on a lot of issues and it cost them the House, Senate, and WH. I want a Wall. Close the border. Deport criminal illegal immigrants now. Process other illegal immigrants to determine if they stay or go. Stop all wealfare spending on illegal immigrants. I want the Trump tax cuts to be permanent and new tax cuts. I want corporate taxes rates brought down. I want to see competition in healthcare, so health insurance and prices drop. I want voter ID laws passed and we need every state to follow the voting model in Florida. I want Title IX fixed and we protect women in sports. I want the Department of Education closed and we give the money we spend sent back to the states. I want to see major overhaul in the CIA and FBI. I want to see cuts in overall government spending. This can all be done if Republicans work together and Make America Great Again.

An Election of Moments

In 2016, Hillary Clinton lost the election more than Trump won it.  In 2020, Trump lost the election more than Biden won it.  In 2024, Trump won the election.

The 2024 election was an election of 8 moments.

1.  Before the Trump/Biden debate, Biden was likely to win.  He likely wouldn't win by as big of a margin, but he would win the rust belt states and maybe 1 or 2 sun belt swing states. But after the debate the race became a toss up.  Biden showed he wasn't fit to serve.

2.  When Trump was shot the election moved into his favor.  Trump looked like a badass.  If Biden would have stayed in the race Trump would likely win, but in a close race.

3.  Once Biden pulled out of the race everything changed again.  Harris pulled the race back into a toss up.

4.  After the Harris/Trump debate, Harris took the lead.  Harris did just good enough and Trump struggled.   At this point it looked like Harris would win the rust belt and a close race.

5.  The VP debate with Vance/Waltz turned the race back to a toss up and maybe even gave Trump a slight edge.  Vance did such an amazing job that the race changed to Trump and never went back.

6.  Trump goes to McDonald's while Harris falls apart in her Fox News interview with Brett Bier.   Harris looked weak, incompetent, and unlikeable.  Trump on the other hand connected with people and looked likeable going to McDonald's.  Trump turned this into a lead and looked like he would win all the sun belt swing states and at least 1 rust belt state to win the election.

7.  Trump goes on Joe Rogan for 3 hours while Harris refuses to do the same.  Trump won the Electoral College at this point.  He was going to win all the Sun belt swing states and would definitely win one or all of the rust belt swing states.

8.  Biden calls half the country garbage and Trump rids in a garbage truck.  This won Trump the popular vote.

I will say Trump being shot changed the race the most.  When he got up and said, Fight, Fight, Fight" it was an iconic moment.  And it changed Trump too.  I'm not sure Trump would have done McDonald's or the garbage truck stunts.  I'm not sure he would have done all the podcasts.  He did a bunch of long form podcast besides just Joe Rogan.  Those podcasts let people really get to see him and he was a different man.  This was the greatest political comeback of all time.

How I Voted in Election 2024

I just voted.  I always share how I'm voting, because I usually get a few people asking me.  And I'm proud to cast my vote and show my support to those I want to hold office.

Question: Should Indiana Remove Superintendent of Public Instruction from Gubernatorial Line of Succession? YES

Federal
President:  Donald Trump and JD Vance
US Senate:  Jim Banks
US Congress:  Did not vote

State
Governor: Mike Braun and Micah Beckwith
Attorney General: Todd Rokita
House:  Ryan Lauer

Local:  Bartholomew County
County Commissioners:  Larry Kleinhenz, Tony London, Michael Bell, Kim Bennett, Marcus Speer
School Board:  Tom Glick, Samantha Ison, David Theile

I recommend voting early to protect your voting power.  If you wait until election day you run the risk that there might be bad weather keeping you from the polls.  There could be problems at your polling place that will not allow you to vote.  You could be sick on election day.  Vote early to make sure your voice is heard.

Am I Racist?

Am I Racist? Is the new comedy documentary by Matt Walsh and the DailyWire.  This movie is both funny and serious.  The topic is a serious one and it deals with those who use race, racism, and white guilt to grift people.  Matt does a great job of tolling these people, by allowing them to say what they believe.  Matt also has the ability to remaining in character of a DEI expert, even when these people are saying outrageous stuff.  Honestly this was one of the funniest movies I've seen in some time.  But there were also really important moments that remind us that while we look different we are all the same.  We are all humans and if we truly want to end racism we just need more love.

Harris Platform

If you go to the Harris campaign website there is no platform page.  If you can find it let me know.

https://kamalaharris.com/

But if you want to know her policies based on what she has supported in the past check out this website.  It was made by Republicans and all it does is give you her policies from what she has supported.

https://www.kamala2024policies.com/

1.  Fighting to Set Murderers Free.  Kamala Harris supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund, helping to bail out now-convicted murderers and violent criminals.

2.  More “Bidenomics”—it’s “Working,” Rising Costs are Nothing to Worry About!  Harris was the deciding vote on the inflation-fueling $1.9 trillion “stimulus.”

3.  More Taxes to Ensure the Middle-Class Pays Their “Fair Share."  Kamala Harris wants to eliminate the Trump tax cuts, which would mean a massive tax hike on middle-income families.

4. Abolish Borders.  Kamala Harris said illegal aliens "are not criminals,” and Harris opposed measures to increase border security and decrease illegal immigration.

5. Bring Back the Green New Deal.  During her campaign for president, Harris said “there’s no question, I’m in favor of banning fracking. She also touted an agreement to phase out fossil fuels, supported cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline, which killed 11,000 jobs, and Harris called the record-high gas prices seen under the Biden administration the “price to pay for democracy.”

6. Kamala Believes in Freedom for Individuals Associated with Violent Behavior. (Formally Referred to as Violent Criminals)  Harris supports defunding the police. As even CNN reports, her record supporting defund the police is a long one. She said it is “outdated, it is wrongheaded thinking to think” that more police officers make communities safer, and Harris has repeatedly called to “reimagine” the role of police.

7. Ending “Wrongheaded Thinking” That More Police Mean Safer Communities.  Kamala Harris was proud to join the Defund The Police movement in 2020. She boldly said the protests “should not” let up and applauded then-L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti for defunding the LA Police.

8. Eliminate Private Health Insurance.  Harris supports abolishing private insurance. She even cosponsored Bernie Sanders’ $32 trillion socialist health care takeover bill.  When asked about her plan, and specifically on if people who like their plan could keep it, she said “let’s eliminate all of that."

9. Give Social Security and Medicare to Illegal Aliens.  During the Harris-Biden administration seniors saw the largest ever Medicare Part B premium increase in 2022, jumping 14.5 percent.  Democrats still have NO PLAN to protect Social Security and Medicare benefits — and that tells you all you need to know, especially since Harris wants to give benefits to tens of millions of illegal aliens, which would destroy the program entirely.

To be fair you could read the Democrat Party Platform.  But if this platform is the Harris platform why isn't it on her website.   Below is the platform link.

Trump is in Trouble

Things are getting worse for Trump.  In battleground states Trump needs to be up by 3% to overcome any election day shenanigans.  Here is where I think we are with the battleground states:

Arizona:  Harris
Georgia:  Harris
Michigan:  Harris
Nevada:  Trump
North Carolina:  Trump
Pennsylvania:  Harris
Wisconsin:  Harris

Based on the current battleground states Harris will win the Electoral College with 296 to Trump's 246.  If Trump can flip any two states he can win. Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona are his best chances.  The issue for Trump is that in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona all voted in a Democrat Senator in 2022 and in each state Trump basically picked the Republican candidate.  So the voters in each state went against Trump.

Trump's biggest issue is that he has a ceiling in the popular vote of 48%, but any Democrat has a ceiling of 52%.  Republicans have only won the popular vote in the presidential election once (2004) in the last 8 elections.  So there is a lot less wiggle room for any Republican.  The country is more center left.  And while the vast majority of Trump supporters really love him, there is a larger portion of the population that doesn't like or hates Trump.  And while many didn't want to vote for Biden as it looks like he has dementia, they are more than happy to vote for Harris.

Trump can win if he focuses on the economy/inflation and illegal immigration/the border.  But him being focused on things like Harris race, not liking the governor of Georgia, the crowd sizes for him and Harris, and the election being stolen in 2020 isn't going to help.

Honestly, right now based on what Trump is doing I'm not sure he even wants to win.  I think he just likes running for president and hearing all the cheering crowds.

Paris Olympics Ceremony

I've seen a lot of people respond to the Paris Opening Olympics Ceremony.  First, the people who are trying to say this wasn't an attempt to mock the Last Supper are either lying to us or themselves.  It is obvious they were trying to mock Christianity and they tried to hide it by interlocking it with the Greek god Dionysus and an ancient festival meant to honor him.

Second, I've seen people sharing the idea that Jesus would have welcomed all these people at his table.  And Christians shouldn't be angry and don't need to regulate others.

While Jesus did associate with sinners, he also told them to stop sinning.  Jesus didn't say I love you the way you are and continue to live as you are in sin.

Jesus says, "I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance" in Luke 5:32.

And people need to realize that when Jesus returns He will be coming to judge.  And those that mock Him will be judged.  As Christians it is our responsibility to warn the world.

As Christians we should not condone sin.  Even if the Olympics Ceremony wasn't trying to mock The Last Supper, it was still completely inappropriate for the Olympics.  The Olympics should be a family friendly event. Christians have allowed sin to not only be accepted in the mainstream, but exalted.   We should be outraged by the display of hedonism.

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."  Isaiah 5:20

"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves..., boastful, proud... unholy... without self-control... not lovers of the good... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."   2 Timothy 3: 1-5

If you want to make excuses for this and say there is nothing wrong, so that you feel okay watching the Olympics this is up to you.  But you shouldn't try to convince those offended they are wrong. Defending Christ and morality is good.  For me there are plenty of things to watch and be entertain besides some games.  The Olympics made clear that they don't respect traditional values or morals.  If they don't want my business I'm fine not giving them my business.

Stop Calling People Hitler

Make no mistake what happened Saturday with President Trump was an INDIRECT result of the rhetoric of the Democrats.  I say indirect because the direct responsibility is also on the shooter.  But Joe Biden and the Democrats have called Trump the next Hitler.  They have said he is a threat to democracy.  They have called him an authoritarian.  They have said he supported insurrection.  They have said that if Trump wins it will be the last election in our country.  Biden said just a couple days before that they need to put a bullseye on Trump.

The Biden administration has refused to increase his security detail and pulled some security to give to Jill Biden.  Some Democrats in Congress wanted to pull Trump's secret service detail all together. We have seen Democrat supporters physically attack Republicans like when Rand Paul was beaten at his home.  A man came very close to getting into Justce Kavanaugh house and killing him and his family.  Congressman Steve Scalise was shot by a Bernie Sanders supporter.  We saw the violence during the "summer of love" BLM riots with millions in property destruction and dozens of deaths.  We have seen the violence from groups like Antifa.  We saw the Pro-Hamas groups on college campuses.

You can't continue to call your political opponent Hilter or compare his supporters to the Nazi and not expect someone will take it seriously.  If you truly believe someone is Hilter, then you are justified trying to kill Hilter.  Stop comparing any political opponent to Hilter and the Nazi.

Debate Trump v Biden 2024

Let me start by saying CNN did a great job.  The format of turning off the mic and no crowd was great.  And the questions were very good and the moderators didn't argue with the candidates.   They just asked the questions and let them answer.

Before the first break Trump was on fire and Biden was terrible.   Trump did a great job, was on point, and had the best comebacks.  Biden was confused, mumbled, and looked unfit.  Trump did great going after Trump on immigration, the border, wars.

After the first break Biden came back very strong.  He was better at answering questions and only stumbled a few times.  Trump did a good job answering the January 6 question, but then totally missed on the questions about helping drug addiction and child care.  Trump got too defensive.

After the second break Biden was terrible when he gave his closing statement.  He was confused and looked weak.  Trump didn't do anything great in his final statement, but it was solid.

Overall Trump won the debate, but I'm not sure Biden did bad enough to lose the election.  Biden didn't win because people wanted to vote for him, instead they voted against Trump.  I don't think Trump did anything to get people to vote for him and Biden did just enough that those that hate Trump will vote for him.

I still think Biden wins, because Trump can't get over 47% of the vote.  Maybe if RFK Jr gets 10%, Trump might win.  But right now I don't see this happening.

How Can Trump Win?

Trump Supporters please tell me how Trump is going to win the general election?

I am not voting for Trump in the Republican Primary, because I know he has no chance to win the general election.   I think Trump was a great president, but he can't win the general election.   Hillary got 3 million more votes than Trump.  Biden got 7 million more votes than Trump.  Hillary was one of the worst candidates for president ever and Biden was living in his basement.

And look at the states that Trump will need to win the electoral college.  Pennsylvania voted for a guy with brain damage over a Trump guy.  Georgia voted for a governor by a wide margin that Trump was against, then voted for 2 Democrat Senators.  And one of those Senators won twice beating Trump's guy.  Arizona is now a blue state.  Both Trump picks for Senator and governor lost. In 2016, Trump pulled out a victory by winning Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.  Those states have gone more Democrat since 2016.  Trump can't win those states.  In 2020, he not only lost those states, but lost red states like Arizona and Georgia.

For those that say the 2020 election was stolen.  Okay, so how will it be different in 2024?  What has changed since 2020, that will keep the election from being stolen?  Nothing has changed.  If anything it will be even more likely that the Democrats could do underhanded things.   So how do we overcome this?  We need a candidate that can win more than 47% of the popular vote.

Trump got less than 47% of the popular vote in 2016 and 2020.  Hillary got 48% and Biden over 51%.  Trump will likely get only 45% of the vote in 2024.  To win the Republicans will need someone that can get 51% of the popular vote.  A Republican that gets 51%, can't lose even if there is corruption in the election.

So Trump Supporters again, how is Trump going to win?

Transgender Kids

This will be short. Kids cannot decide to change their gender. Their brains are not fully developed and their confusion on gender is mostly do to this and social pressure. Most kids if we do nothing will grow out of this confusion. Using puberty blockers, castration drugs, and surgery on children is child abuse.

Gender dysphoria is real and people that suffer from it should be cared for and helped. The suicide rate for these people is almost 40% pre and post physical treatments with drugs or surgery. If an adult wants to change their gender with drugs or surgery that is fine as long as they are over 18 and have gotten the needed counseling to help prevent self harm.

Transgender people shouldn't be mistreated or disrespected. They should be shown kindness and care. Children confused about their gender should be counseled and helped. The goal should always be to first help that person feel comfortable and happy with how they were born. If once they become an adult they want to take more drastic measures that is their choice as an adult.

This isn't an easy solution, but to act like giving kids drugs or surgery is right is insane. And pretending that their isn't just male and female is to deny science. Everyone should be able to live how they want, but we can't deny facts.

Liberals Denial of Science

Liberals like to says they are the ones who follow the science, but in reality they don't believe in science. They instead push fake science to support their false reality.

1. Biology

Liberals like Judge Jackson can't define what is a woman. When Jackson was asked to define a woman she couldn't answer that question. Swimmer Lia Thomas who is a biological male is being allowed to compete against women and dominating those women in their sport. The definition of a woman /female is a human or animal that has XX chromosomes and are born with female reproductive system. A transwoman is a biological male XY chromosomes, but who chooses/feels more comfortable living as a woman. If a man wants to live their life as a woman or a woman wants to live their life as a man they should be allowed. And people should respect their decision to live how they feel. If I was to meet Lia Thomas I would address her as a female using she/her pronouns as I have done here. But in things like sports she shouldn't be allowed to play as as woman. A biological male has an unfair advantage over other women. And in sports it isn't about feelings, but fairness of a level playing field. The correct solution is for her to compete in the men's division, but be allowed to wear the female swim outfit and be given a private changing room. Science says there are women and men. In society people can be what they want and people should treat others with respect and dignity. But your feelings can't take away the rights of others.

2. Life

Judge Jackson was asked if she could say when life begins. And again she couldn't answer. As a judge this is an important question to answer and if she can't she isn't capable of being a judge. Liberals can't agree when life begins, but the science is very clear. Life begins at conception. This is scientific fact. Now just because you admit that science says life begins at conception doesn't mean you believe that life has rights. But the pro-choice crowd is afraid to admit that and so they pretend life doesn't begin at conception. Fact is you can admit life begins at conception, but don't believe that life deserves rights until there is a heartbeat, or can feel pain, or is viable at current medical advancements, after the 3rd trimester, or when the baby is born. But at least be honest about the science.

3. Covid

We are told by Liberals to follow the science with Covid. But when new research comes out that masks that aren't N95 are useless they ignore it. When research shows that shutdowns don't work they ignore it. When the death and infection rate in states that lifted restrictions months before other states that continued to keep restrictions are basically the same they ignored it. When kids are masked and Vaxxed when the science shows kids don't spread it and aren't effected like older people they ignore it. When we see the vaccine is causing adverse reactions in children, they ignore it. And when we see that the vaccine only helps to make virus less severe they lie and say it stops the virus. Science is very different from The Science. And Covid has shown us that politics can interfere with science.

Presidential Predictions for 2024

So now that the midterm elections are over here are my predictions for the 2024 Presidential Election.

Democrat Primary

If Joe Biden runs the only person who could run against him and win is Hillary Clinton. So here are the top 5 candidates that could run in the Democrat Primary and win the nomination if Biden doesn't run.

1. Hillary Clinton
2. Gavin Newsom
3. Kamala Harris
4. Pete Buttigieg
5. Bernie Sanders

Republican Primary

Trump will win the Republican Primary assuming more than 3 people run in the primary. He has at least 1/3 of the Republican voters locked up, so he would be able to get enough support to beat all the others that might run. If there are only 3 people to run, then someone might be able to beat him. So here are my Top 5 candidates that could win the Republican Primary if no more than 2 run against Trump.

1. Ron DeSantis
2. Mike Pence
3. Kristi Noem
4. Ted Cruz
5. Tim Scott

General Election

If Trump is the Republican candidate, then every Democrat can beat him. Trump is too hated by the left and they will come out to vote against him even if the Democrats elected a dead person (as they did in 2020). If Hillary wins the Democrat Primary she will beat any Republican. I think every Democrat will come out to support her and independents that didn't vote for her the last time will say to themselves that maybe we made a mistake passing on Hillary and she would've been better than Trump or Biden. I think most Democrats can win no matter the candidate the Republicans have up as the country is center left. And now that states like Pennsylvania and Michigan are solid blue and Georgia and Arizona are purple Democrats have the advantage in the electoral college. But here is how I rank the candidates for the general election.

1. Hillary Clinton
2. Joe Biden
3. Ron DeSantis
4. Gavin Newsom
5. Mike Pence
6. Kamala Harris
7. Pete Buttigieg
8. Bernie Sanders
9. Kristi Noem
10. Tim Scott

Trump isn't a Winner

Trump isn't a winner and will lose in a general election to any Democrat. I say this knowing that there were be plenty of Trump lovers that will give me hate. So let me be clear in saying that while I will not vote for Trump in the Republican Primary, if he wins the Primary I will vote for him in the general election. I voted for Trump twice. Trump is the greatest president of the 21st century, the second greatest president of my lifetime (Reagan is #1), and possibly one of the top 5 greatest Presidents ever. But unfortunately none of that matters, because Trump can't get enough people to vote for him in a general election to win.

Here is why...

1. Biden isn't as toxic to the Democrats. Biden is the worst president of my lifetime. And still he just barely lost the House and gained a seat in the Senate during the midterm. Usually a president's party during a midterm election will lose a few seats in the senate and 20 to 30 seats in the House. But Biden bucked that trend and honestly made the Republicans look bad. Republicans are poorly run and have no clue.

2. Trump hasn't won an election since 2016. Trump and the Republicans won in 2016, but have lost in 2018, 2020, and now again in 2022. Three of Trump's backed candidates for the senate all lost. In Pennsylvania Trump's guy Dr. Oz lost to a guy with brain damage. Walker in Georgia lost to a radical Leftist in a state that used to be a strong Republican state, where the governor who Trump hates won in a landslide. And Arizona has now flipped from red to blue.

3. America isn't a center right country, but a center left country. Republicans have only won a majority of the popular vote in a presidential election once in the last 8 elections. While we have won the electoral vote 3 times we can't and won't win the electoral college if we continue to lose the popular vote. Unfortunately more of the country falls in line with centrist Democrats over Republicans. But also unfortunately the Democrats are run by the hard left.

4. Trump can't get over 45% of the popular vote and can't win the electoral college. At best Trump might be able to get 45% of the vote. But honestly I think he will barely get over 40% in a general election. Trump can't win states that he won in 2016 like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, and now likely Georgia. Without winning 2 to 3 of those he has no path to winning the electoral college. Biden got 8 million more votes than Trump and Clinton got 3 million more votes. Even if there was fraud in the election at most that would only account for a few hundred thousand votes, but not millions of votes. Republicans can't overcome fraud without winning a majority of the vote.

5. Trump failed during 2020. Trump wasn't terrible during Covid, but he made a lot a mistakes. He shutdown the economy. He gave away trillions of dollars that has helped to create this massive inflation. He let Dr. Fauci basically run the country. And he pushed for the vaccine.

6. Jan. 6th and the election of 2020 will hang over Trump. Many Americans didn't like the events of Jan. 6th and feel how Trump handled it was really bad. That isn't to say he did something criminal or organized the riot. But he didn't do enough to stop it and his first response was incredibly weak. Also the
fact Trump didn't show up for the Biden Inauguration was an embarrassment to the peaceful transfer of power our country has always been about. This made Trump look very small and unpresidential.

If we Republicans vote for Trump in the primary and he wins, he will not win in the general election. He will actually be embarrassed and Democrats will gain even more power. 2024 might be the end of the Republican party.

Student Loan Forgiveness

If you are benefiting from the Student Loan Forgiveness Program for you I say, "Good for you.  I'm happy for you."  The reason I say that is I'm not mad at anyone who gets money from the government.   I was able to take advantage of the Obama Stimulus Plan back in 2009-2010 with the first-time home buyers tax credit and green energy tax credit for a tankless water heater.  Anytime someone gets something back from government assuming they didn't get it through fraud I'm happy for them.  Good for you.  I'd never say that person shouldn't take advantage of a government program if they qualify. But please don't tell me you deserve it or it is right.  You know it isn't right that I, a person that didn't finish college, but had student loans and paid them off, should have to pay for your student loans that you willingly took out.

Do I think this student loan forgiveness is a good idea?  NO!!!!!  This dumb plan is nothing more than a scheme to buy votes.  It will not fix the overall problem and it transfers great amounts of wealth to those that likely make higher incomes ftom those that make lower incomes. It will increase inflation and it will increase taxes on everyone.  It is unfair to those that didn't go to college and those that paid back their student loans.   A person could be making an income that is twice the national average and benefit from this program.   With inflation out of control and the economy in recession this is irresponsible.

What should have happen is interest rates should have been lowered for those still making payments.  It shouldn't be any higher than the yield of a 10 year treasury bond.  And then loans should be capped based on your major.  The most a person should be allowed to borrow is equal to the national average for the first year salary of a major.  So let's say you are studying to be a teacher.  The average salary for a first year teacher is $41,000.  So that is your loan cap throughout your college career. Schools that take federal money should be forced to cap tuition based on this same metric.   If they want to charge more then they don't get to be involved in the federal loan or grant programs.  Also if there was to be any forgiveness for loans it should have required schools to pay back the money they charged.  The college system a corrupt and takes advantage of young people and taxpayers.

We are going to add $500 billion to the debt for no good reason and it won't fix anything.

Roe v Wade Overturned

Roe v Wade has been overturn.  As someone who is strongly pro-life, I never thought this day would come.  But what does it mean really?  Some think and will try to lie and say abortion is now illegal in the United States.   But that is FALSE!  The overturning of Roe v Wade means that the power will go back to the States.  So places like New York and California can allow abortion up to 9 months and right before birth.  But States like Indiana and Texas could outlaw all abortions.  The federal government can still give money to organizations like Planned Parenthood.  Federal lawmakers could also actually do their job and make actual laws about abortion.  Abortion isn't in the constitution and it really is both a states rights issue and a legislation issue.  This is not only a great day because of the lives that will be saved, but also a great day for the Constitution.   Roe v Wade was a bad decision based on merely Constitution law.  Today things have been made right.  God Bless America!

We Need Higher Gas Prices

We need higher gas prices.  At least in the short term.  I'm okay paying more in gas IF we stop importing Russian oil and start producing more oil and natural gas here in America.  We need to bring Keystone back up, drill on federal land and water, drill in ANWAR, and cut many regulations.  We need to just go back to Trump energy policies.  It will mean for a few months that gas prices will be high.  But, gas prices are based on future supply, so if the market thinks America will have more supply, it will drive down prices.

The war in Ukraine is just an example of why America and Europe need to stop relying on oil and natural gas from evil countries like Russia and areas like the Middle East. And Russia won't stop in Ukraine until we and Europe stop buying their oil and natural gas.

America has enough natural resources to be both energy independent and even an exporter of energy to other countries.  I'll add that we need to invest in the truly clean and green energy supply that is nuclear power.

Trump on Ukraine and Putin

There has been a lot of fake news on what Trump has said about Ukraine and Putin. Here is what Trump actually said on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Radio show.

BUCK SEXTON: "Mr. President, in the last 24 hours we know Russia has said that they are recognizing two breakaway regions of Ukraine, and now this White House is stating that this is an “invasion.” That’s a strong word. What went wrong here? What has the current occupant of the Oval Office done that he could have done differently?"

PRESIDENT TRUMP: "Well, what went wrong was a rigged election and what went wrong is a candidate that shouldn’t be there and a man that has no concept of what he’s doing. I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, “This is genius.” Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine. Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful. (sarcastic)

So, Putin is now saying, “It’s independent,” a large section of Ukraine. I said, “How smart is that?” And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s strongest peace force (sarcasm)… We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep peace all right. (sarcasm) No, but think of it. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy… I know him very well. Very, very well.

By the way, this never would have happened with us. Had I been in office, not even thinkable. This would never have happened. But here’s a guy that says, you know, “I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent,” he used the word “independent,” “and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.” You gotta say that’s pretty savvy. And you know what the response was from Biden? There was no response. They didn’t have one for that. No, it’s very sad. Very sad."

Trump spoke further on the situation at CPAC. Here are quotes from the CPAC speech.

“The Russian attack on Ukraine is appalling. It’s an outrage and an atrocity that should never have been allowed to occur.

“We are praying for the proud people of Ukraine. God bless them all. As everyone understands, this horrific disaster would never have happened if our election was not rigged and if I was the president.”

“Under Bush, Russia invaded Georgia. Under Obama, Russia took Crimea. Under Biden, Russia invaded Ukraine. I stand as the only president of the 21st century on whose watch Russia did not invade another country.”

“I have no doubt that President Putin made his decision to ruthlessly attack Ukraine only after watching the pathetic withdrawal from Afghanistan, where the military was taken out first, our soldiers were killed and American hostages, plus $85bn worth of the finest equipment anywhere in the world were left behind."

“The problem is not that Putin is smart – which of course, he’s smart – but the real problem is that our leaders are dumb. They’ve so far allowed him to get away with this travesty and an assault on humanity.”

“So sad. Putin is playing Biden like a drum and it’s not a pretty thing as somebody that loves our country to watch.”

“I was with Putin a lot. I spent a lot of time with him. I got along with him … I did a lot of things that were very tough on Russia. No president was ever as tough on Russia as I was."

"But with respect to what’s going on now, it would have been so easy for me to stop this travesty from happening. He understood me and he understood that I didn’t play games. This would not have happened. Someday, I’ll tell you exactly what we talked about. And he did have an affinity, there’s no question about it, for Ukraine. I said, never let it happen, better not let it happen.”

“I also warned Nato about the danger of Russia and look at the consequences. On foreign policy, the world rightly had a healthy fear that as president I would stand strong for Americans’ priorities.”
