One company and CEO that I really admire is Chick-Fil-A and Truett Cathy. At Chick-Fil-A they are closed on Sunday to allow their people the time to be with their families and to worship. Cathy is a Christian and lives out his faith in his life and business. The Chick-Fil-A mall stores on average outperform every other food place in the mall even though they are closed on Sunday. In our business world of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year it is nice to see that a company can still have success and retain its values.
I have to work on Sundays and when I'm not working I like to shop and eat out on Sunday, but I would give it up to live in a world that stopped, relaxed, and took time to honor the One who makes business possible…God.
