About Me

Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. The Reader

The Reader is based on a very popular book that I've never heard of or read. So as for the movie is was okay. Kate Winslet proves again she is one of the top actresses in the industry today. She carries this movie and keeps you wondering what is she thinking. She has a way of acting with her eyes. The story revolves around an affair of a woman in her 30's and a 15 year old boy. I was expecting that there was going to be some scandal with their sexual relationship, but that is not where the movie goes. Set in German during the Nazi rule, the story changes midway through to the Holocaust. The movie has a lot of graphic sex, so if that makes you uncomfortable then I recommend you pass. If not, then you may want to give it a try, it has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture and Kate Winslet for Best Actress.

I give this movie a B.
