Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. On the left you will see options to search this blog, see popular posts, a catalog of posts, and favorite links. Please check out my YouTube channel by clicking on the link under favorite links.

B. This is a state’s rights issue and each state must make their own laws.  Transgender athletes should only compete in their biology category.
C. This issue was decided by the Supreme Court and is settled law.  Transgender athletes should be allowed to compete in their chosen gender
D. Gay marriage should be legal throughout the entire U.S.  Gender is a spectrum and fluid.

3. On the issue of Capital Punishment, I believe…
A. The death penalty is the correct punishment for crimes like murder and rape.
B. The death penalty is a strong deterrent for crimes.
C. It should only be used in very rare cases and life in prison is more cost effective.
D. The death penalty is just another form of murder.

4. On the issue of energy and Climate Change, I believe…
A. Drill Here, Drill Now. We must start looking for new sources of oil here in our country. We must also start using nuclear energy and increase fracking.  We need more refineries and more clean coal plants. Climate Change is a myth.
B. In an “All of the Above” approach. We must open some new areas for oil drilling, we must spend more on renewable energy sources, and we must look into nuclear energy. We still needs more research on Climate Change.
C. We must focus on renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and biofuels. We must cut our use of oil. We need more hybrid cars and trains. Global Warming is real and we must address it.
D. “Green Energy” is our only hope. Oil, gas, and coal are killing our planet. Global Warming/Climate Change is the greatest threat to mankind. We must pull back on our energy consumption. We need to sign United Nations energy treaties to reign in our destructive use of the planet.

5. On the issue of Taxes, I believe…
A. The IRS should be abolished and we have a Fair Tax.
B. In a Flat Tax or a similar more simple Tax code.
C. In a Progressive Tax system that taxes people at higher rates if they make more money.
D. The rich should pay most of the taxes and wealth should be spread around.  No one needs a billions dollars.

6. On the issue of our economy, I believe…
A. In Free Market Capitalism with very little government regulations.
B. In Capitalism, but the government must have some regulations to protect people.
C. Limited capitalism were the government needs to regulate business to keep a level playing field.
D. In Socialism, with the government controlling the markets.

7. On the issue of Social Security, I believe…
A. People should have the option to opt out. If people do and they don’t plan for their future, then they will be at the mercy of charities.
B. People should be able to take a small portion of their FICA and invest it in personal retirement accounts.  But those currently on social security shouldn't have their social security touched.
C. We need to strengthen Social Security, but private accounts are too risky.
D. Social Security must be protected and the promise of Social Security is a right as an American. We need increased taxes to save Social Security.

8. On the issue of Health Care, I believe…
A. If the government would just stay out of it, competition would take care of the market. We also need to privatize Medicare.
B. We need some reform to protect those that fall through the crack, but it should be done mostly through the market and not the government. We also need an option for people to enter the private market for Medicare if they choose.
C. We need major healthcare reform to protect people. We need a safety net and affordable healthcare for everyone.  I support Obamacare.
D. We need government controlled healthcare. I think Obamacare didn’t go far enough. We need a system like Canada.  We need Medicare for all.

9. On the issue of the Federal Budget, I believe…
A. We should pass a Constitutional Amendment for a balance budget based on what we take in taxes. No debt spending. We must balance our budget by reforming Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, and cutting wasteful programs, and pork barrel projects. This will also require a line item veto for the President.
B. We should balance our budget based on our GDP. We need to cut wasteful spending and limit earmarks.  We should only allow debt spending for defense and during extreme national crisis.
C. The government must raise taxes if it is going to balance the budget. We need to go through every line of the budget and cut the waste in government.  Debt isn't bad if it is used in a limited way.
D. Government spending is needed in a recession. It is okay to run up deficits to pay for important projects. Our biggest wasteful spending is in the military. We need to bring our troops home, then we could balance our budget.  Tax the rich to balance the budget while paying for our social programs.

10. On the issue of immigration, I believe…
A. We should enforce our current immigration laws, build a wall, and put the military on the border.
B. We should build a fence/barrier and reform our immigration laws that will allow illegal immigrants a path to citizenship, but they will have to go back home first.  Criminal illegal immigrants should be removed.
C. We should reform our immigration laws to make it easier for undocumented worker to become citizens.  No wall.  DACA immigrants should be made citizens.
D. We should reform our immigration laws, but first we should give amnesty to undocumented workers, so they can come out of the shadows.  Open borders.

11. On the issue of the War on Terror, I believe…
A. We must track down and kill every terrorist, where ever they are in the world. We should not tolerate any country that harbors terrorists. Terrorists are not soldiers and do not deserve the same rights are soldiers. We need to keep Gitmo open for housing terrorists. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and we should support it 100%.
B. We must bring liberty to counties that are overrun by terrorists. Only by spreading freedom can we defeat terrorists. We need to use military trials for terrorists to determine what we will to do with them.  Iseral and the Israelis are strong allies and we should support a two state solution.
C. We must defend ourselves, but we can’t oppress other nations. We need more diplomacy with countries that disagree with us. Terrorists must get trials in our courts to show the world our mercy.  The Iran nuclear deal was goof policy.  Israel and the Palestinians have both done things wrong, but Palestinians want peace and should be given their own state.
D. We are at fault for some of the hate terrorists have for us. We must work to make terrorists see we are not their enemy. The war in Iraq was wrong and we need to bring our troops home now. We also must close Gitmo.  We should support the BDS movement against Iseral.

Now is the time to score you answers. Give yourself 1 point for every A answer, 2 points for every B answer, 3 points for every C answer, and 4 points for every D answer.
A score between 15-25 means you are a Conservative/Right Wing.
A score between 26-37 means you are a Republican/Center Right.
A score between 38-49 means you are a Democrat/Center Left.
A score between 50-60 means you are a Liberal/Left Wing.

Some of you will say that you are a moderate or an independent, but that is not likely true. A moderate is someone who just puts their finger in the air and goes with whatever is most popular. How many books have been written on the great moderates of the world? NONE! A true independent is someone who doesn’t take part in the political process. A true independent would not vote. The fact is people say they are independent because they don’t want to be labeled. But if they were honest they would agree that most of the time they either vote more Republican/Conservative or more Democrat/Liberal. There is not an independent party and those few in Washington that are independent currently vote with the Democrats 90% of the time. Not very independent.
Some of you will ask about Libertarian Party. The fact is Libertarian Party is not a viable party in American. Just like the Green Party, the Reform Party, the Socialist Party, the Communist Party, or Fascism these parties are not real options in America. And actually socialism and communism are types of economies and not political parties. The fact is we are a two party country and that is what this quiz is focused on. This quiz is focused on 90% of America and our general political beliefs.

Just because you are a Conservative or a Liberal doesn’t mean you will always vote Republican or Democrat. While you will vote mostly on those lines, a true Conservative will not vote for a RINO (Republican In Name Only). And a true Liberal will not support the Democrats if they go off the liberal political map. As an example in the 2008 election, I did not vote for John McCain. He was a RINO and I didn’t feel right voting for someone I didn’t support. Also primaries are the time when I can voice my conservative values. During the 2010 election in my Congressional District there were a lot of candidates for the 2nd District. The top two candidates were Travis Hankins who was the true Conservative and Todd Young the Republican Party favorite. I supported Travis with my vote, my money, and my time. When Todd Young won the primary,  I did vote for him in the general election.

If you don’t agree with my answers, well too bad. Come up with your own quiz. This is the Chuck Baker Is Right Quiz. Now let me know…Are you a Conservative or a Liberal?
