About Me

Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. Hymns

My wife wrote this and I agree 100%.

I miss hymns.  I didn't realize how much till last week.  Four Seasons had special guests come and sing for us. They sang mostly hymns. I knew all of them. It filled my heart with joy, peace and God's presence.  I grew up with hymns. I learned how to follow music, sing in a group, feel a part of something much larger than me by using a hymnal and everyone singing together. In our new "Contemporary Worship" our voices are drowned out by loud music and repetitive feel good lyrics. I do believe we can reintroduced hymns to new generations. You don't need to add new verses spice it up. Just play the song. There are amazing and powerful hymns that don't need that. Just some thoughts.
