About Me

Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. Sabbaticals

When I was a church Elder I could only sever 2 terms of 3 years each, before I had to take at least a 1 year sabbatical. This was true for every Elder and Deacon. I think we should have the same concept for our elected leaders in Washington. A Congressman should only serve 3 terms and Senators 2 terms, before they must take at least a 2 year sabbatical from federal office. During their 2 year Sabbatical they cannot run for or serve in any federal government position. This way they will have to come home and get back in touch with real America life.  This might also get new blood and ideas into Washington.  I support term limits, but I’m not sure we could ever get enough support from either party. Sabbaticals though might be a possible compromise.
