About Me

Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. Red, White, & Wal-Mart

A 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll finds that people believe Wal-Mart best symbolizes the best of America. I just love it. Wal-Mart is the great American company. Just like America, Wal-Mart is the #1 company in the world in both sales and employees. Wal-Mart has changed retail by keeping prices low and offering more choices. Wal-Mart forced businesses to work harder for their customers. Those that could not compete with Wal-Mart on price either went out of business or became more specialized and offered better customer service.

Wal-Mart also offers the opportunities to employees to advance and have a long-term career. The current CEO started at Wal-Mart as a part-time cart pusher. At Wal-Mart if you are willing to work hard you can be successful. And having worked in retail for many years, Wal-Mart’s healthcare is very competitive to other retailers.

Sometimes Wal-Mart gets a bad wrap for not taking care of employees or running “mom and pop stores” out of business. The fact of the matter is that America and Americans are better off because of Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is a great example of great American capitalism.
