About Me

Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. Support Masks Not Mandates

I have always supported wearing masks and social distancing.  I supported the shutdown as we had a specific goal to not overwhelm the hospitals, so that they had time to prepare.  I supported the phased reopening as it made sense to slowly bring things back online to continue to lengthen the flattened curve.  I support businesses that make employees and customers wear masks, social distance, and any other measures them deem necessary.  I aslo support a business to just go about things as normal.  I believe a business has a right to set their own policies based on what they think is best for them, their employees, and their customers.  People that don't agree can choose to work or do business elsewhere.  That is the free market.

What I don't support is the government mandating that everyone must wear masks.  I don't support the government's continued shutdowns based on changing the goalposts of the original shutdown.  I don't support the hypocrisy of government and media saying protests, riots, and looting which happened in mass gathering to be okay and patriotic, but Trump rallys, 4th of July shows, and BBQs are unpatriotic and unsafe.  And I don't supoport what is happening in Australia where the army is being used to go door to door to force people to get tested.

I wear a mask and social distance to protect myself and others.  I put the wellbeing of others over my own discomfort.   I also don't judge others that don't wear a mask as selfish or ignorant.  And others shouldn't judge us that wear masks as scared or sheep.  As part of freedom comes choice.  You have a choice in how you live your life and I have a choice in how I live my life.  I choose to  limit my risk and others might choose to live a little risky.

Fact is we are on a slippery slope to were we have to ask the question...Are we still a nation that says "Give me liberty or give me death," or are we a nation that says "Give me security over liberty."
