I'm not sure if I like replay in baseball. I was watching a Reds vs Cubs game that ended on the umpire reversing a call on the field. What I don't like about replay is that this is the second time a game I have seen in one year that has ended with a replay overturning a call on the field. It really takes the excitement of the game away. There were 2 outs and the Reds were down 2 runs. Joey Votto would have been on first if the call wasn't reversed. Adam Duvall the Reds power hitter was coming to bat with a chance to tie the game with one hit. That is exciting. What isn't exciting is watching the umpire with a headset saying out. I know we want to get calls right, but what happens if a World Series ends like this one day. Don't we want players deciding games over umpires? I'm don't know the right answer, but so far after spending 3 hours watching a game twice it ending looking at an umpire wearing a headset.
About Me
- Chuck Baker
- Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more.
