Death Wish is basically another formula movie with have seen over the last few years. It places an older famous actor into a situation where he kills bad guys. We have seen this in movies like John Wick, The Equalizer, Man on Fire, Taken, and Death Sentence. In today's political climate of gun control people will try to see more into this movie, but it is really just an old guy kills bad guys movies. The movie did bring up the important topic of how Chicago's crime is out of control and the police seem to be overwhelmed. I did really enjoy how the story was moved along with the help of two radio shows. One is a show I used to be able to hear in Indy called Mancow. Overall if you liked the movies Taken, John Wick, or The Equalizer you will like this movie.
