There was a study that said Indiana was one of the 3 most unhappy states to live. But it seems the researchers focused mostly on if people were overweight, had a bachelor's degree, and their income compared to the nation.
So if you are fat and don't have a bachelor's degree that makes you unhappy? Well I'm fat, I don't have a bachelor's degree, but my household income is more than the national average. But sometimes it hasn't been too.
But what about the cost of living beings a lot less. And why nothing on how long people have been married? I've been married over 21 wonderful years. Here is an idea. Don't listen to studies that tell you if you are happy or not. Just live your life with joy. I know I do. My point is that you find happiness in more than health, education, and money.
My wife suffers from terrible chronic pain and has been fighting it for the last 6 years. She had to give up her chance to ever have children because of it. She had to give up her career because of it. She has just recently gotten it under control and has gone back to work part-time. She had days that were dark, painful, unhappy, and sad, but she still found joy. She found joy in our marriage, our nephew that we love like a son, our families, friends, and God. Happiness is what you make of it.
