1. This shouldn't have been a national news story. This was local news event that the media turned into a national news story. It was used for politics by the news media and then Presidential Candidate Joe Biden to stir up hate between people.
2. This was self-defense and he should have been found not guilty. If I were to chase you, threaten you, kick you, try to take your gun from you, hit you with a heavy wood object, and brandish a handgun at what point would you have the right to defend yourself? Kyle Rittenhouse was attacked by 3 men. One kicked him, another hit him with a heavy skateboard, and another came after him with a handgun. He was threatening by these men and one said he would kill him. Kyle had every right to protect himself.
3. Some say that the fact that these 3 men were criminals doesn't matter, because Kyle wouldn't have known that at the time. But it does matter as it goes to show their character and the fact that they were more than likely going to hurt or kill Kyle. They had committed acts of violence that night and had done it in the past. They do not respect others property or others own body. We know one has sexually assaulted minors. They have hurt others in the past, so it is extremely likely they were going to hurt Kyle.
4. I don't under people calling Kyle a racist or white supremacist. He didn't shoot 3 black men. He shot 3 white men, that were trying to harm him. How does that make him racist?
5. People says he shouldn't have had a gun. Well obviously he needed a gun, because if he didn't have one he likely would be dead. As he was attacked.
6. People say he shouldn't have even been there. Maybe or maybe not. He lives just across the state line. He works in that area. Those are people he cares about. He has training in medic care and fire prevention. He was recorded saying he was there to offer medical aid and put out fires. Witnesses say that is what he was doing. So ask yourself if you had friends or family who owned homes or businesses in places that were being attacked would you help? Maybe you wouldn't, but there are many that would help.
7. The "video" that supposedly has Kyle saying he wants to shoot people is very suspicious. It does not show Rittenhouse's face. The video was apparently filmed across the street from a CVS Pharmacy, where several hooded people could be seen rushing out and clutching items. A voice that might sounds like Rittenhouse is heard. It's unclear who filmed the video, where it was filmed, or how prosecutors obtained it.
8. You either believe in the rule of law or not. A jury of his peers heard the case and gave their verdict. They deliberated for many hours and they all agreed he was not guilty. You nor I were on that jury. But I respect the jury and our justice system to say that justice has been served.
