If you are a Trump supporter (like me) or Conservative and are refusing to take the vaccine I don't get you at all. First through Trump's policies he was able to get a vaccine developed in record time. No one said he could do it and through lies of the media he likely lost the election because they said he was lying and couldn't do it. What he accomplished was a miracle. Getting a vaccine in less than 1 year was the plan for Operation Wrap Speed. It accomplished what it was designed to do.
Second this is one of the greatest accomplishments of free market capitalism. When government gets out of the way look what can be done. And I trust the brilliant scientists in our drug companies. They are professionals that just want to help people. And the CEOs want a successful business, so they don't want to put out a bad vaccine that would destroy their company.
Third why would conservatives believe that more government involvement makes something safer. Do we really think something is better or safer when more government is involved? Aren't we always saying we want less government? Is that only when it comes to low taxes?
Getting a vaccine is a personal choice. I support anyone that chooses to get the vaccine, but I also support anyone who doesn't get the vaccine. I had planned on getting it, but to be honest I'm not sure I really need to. I am not high risk and my current health maintenance I believe is good enough to support my string immune system. I may get it or I may not, but if I don't it isn't because of some fake fear.
