So today marks the end of Trump's first 100 days. People are going to examine if his first 100 days were a success or failure. And I find it amusing. I understand we do this with every new president, but it is kinda ridiculous. We don't elect a president to serve just 100 days. We elect a president to a 4 year term. In about 18 months we get a chance to decide if we like how things are going or we can begin to change direction by putting the other party in charge of Congress.
In 4 years we can decide if we like what Trump is doing or we can choose another path. So I don't really put much stock in the first 100 days. I will reserve judgement as each police is signed or vetoed. I'll look at Congress in 18 months to see what they have or haven't done. I will decide how I feel about this overall presidency after 4 years.
For me Trump has already kept his promise on somethings and is working on the others. He has appointed a conservative to the Supreme Court. He has made way for the Keystone pipeline. He has slowed government regulations. He has cracked down on illegal immigration and has begun to make way for a wall. And he has already helped bring back more than 300,000 jobs. He tried to stop the flow of refugees and the illegal sanctuary cities. I don't blame him for stupid liberal judges.
As for Obamacare and tax reform I believe it is coming. He has 4 years, but I think it will get done by the end of this year. I'm still happy with my vote for Trump. I'm optimistic for the months and years to come.
