I would support a minimum wage increase if it was first to tied to economic indicators like the poverty line, inflation, or social security. Second the minimum wage would only increase based on those economic indicators. Third the living wage is not an acceptable economic indicator as it is a completely made up number. Fourth the initial increase must be done incrementally over multiple of years. Fifth as the minimum wage increased welfare payments, food stamps, and the earn income tax credits should decrease. Finally when this goes into effect lawmakers would not be allowed to use the minimum wage as a political weapon.
About Me
- Chuck Baker
- Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more.
