We talk about how awesome God is, we sing about how awesome He is, but do we really know what that means. In the Christian church I think sometimes we only like to talk about having a close personal relationship with God. We fail to talk about His greatness. We forget sometimes that God is also the King and Ruler of the universe. He is the Creator of Life. He is the Alfa and Omega, the beginning and the end. As the song says, “Our God is an awesome God, He reigns on heaven and earth, with wisdom and power and love our God is an awesome God.”
My point is that God is worthy of our worship and praise, because He is an awesome God. Even if He had not wanted a personal relationship with us, He would still be worthy of our praise. Even if He had not sacrificed Himself on the cross, He would still be worthy of our worship. But because our God is an Awesome God, He did want a personal relationship with us and was willing to die on a cross to have that relationship. Our God is an Awesome God.
