Evan Thomas of Newsweek once said that Barack Obama was like a God. While speaking with Chris Matthews on Hardball Evan Thomas said, “I mean in a way Obama's standing above the country, above the world, he's sort of God.”
Journalists are supposed to be objective and unbiased. How can we trust reporters that call Obama a god, say that Obama sends tingles up their legs, or cry when he won the election? If this is how reporters look at President Obama, then it is understandable why those who support Obama are still so captivated by him. Those who support Obama seem to be like cult followers. And it is not just Obama. The same was true of Bill Clinton. Journalists made excuses for Clinton when he committed perjury. They have put their faith, hope, and love in not just men, but also in the liberal belief system.
The real issue is people who look to the government as their caregiver. We shouldn't look to government to provide us with food, shelter, and healthcare. Presidents are not kings or gods.
