No Shutdowns or Masks

The CDC just released that only 6% of Covid deaths were solely Covid only deaths. That is less than 10,000 people.  94% of Covid deaths were connected to people that either had 2 to 3 or more other serious health problems or very elderly with health problems.   What this means is that there is no reason for younger healthy people to be quarantined or even wear masks.  Fact is someone that has cancer or another health issues that attacks their immune system are at risk of getting Covid and dying.  But they are also at risk of getting the flu and dying.  But just like the flu, Covid is very unlikely to kill younger healthy people.  And actually studies show that younger people under 30 are more likely to die of the flu over Covid.  

There is no reason to shutdown the economy, quarantine healthy people, limit business capacity, limit public gatherings, not open schools, or wear masks.  If you have serious health issues or are very old you should social distance and wear an N95 mask when you go out.  Hospitals should likely require everyone to wear N95 or at least surgical mask.  Cloth is useless.   And nursing homes should do the same and likely take the temperature of visitors.   And maybe we look into requiring businesses to give more sick time or even the government assisting businesses with sick time, so that if someone is sick for whatever reason they stay home and not come to work.

10,000 deaths is sad.  People who died with Covid that were very old or seriously ill is also very sad.  But with life comes death.  There is risk with life in general.  But we can't stop living because we are afraid.  Covid is not a disease that if you get it you will most likely die.  It is time to open our country 100% and end the mask mandates.
