On Friday, March 13, 2009 my wife and I went to Greenwood at the Fireside Brew house for a “We Surround Them” party hosted by Glen Beck on the Fox News Channel. The event was a lot of fun. We met some really nice people and there were over 100 people in attendance.
The point of the event was to remind people that we are not alone. This is our country and the government works for us, we do not work for the government. The government needs to be reminded that they need to listen to the American people. We surround them.
Out of the event, Glen Beck started the website, www.the912project.com. Do you remember how you felt the day after 9/11? Even though we were still morning the tragic loss of 3000 Americans and the fear of what else might happen we were united. As never before seen since WWII, Americans were united as one.
When the website launched the response to Glen Beck’s “The 912 Project” was so big that the website crashed.
Do you remember how you felt about America on 9/12/01? Do you remember your pride in your country? Forget about the government. Forget about democrats and republicans. Remember that on 9/12 we were all just Americans. No matter what happens in Washington let's all remember we are all Americans and we are all in this big world together.
