- Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. The Reason for the Season?
Once while I was shopping at a Christian book store during the Christmas season I started talking to the manager. He said to me, “Did you know that Jesus is not the reason for the season. I’m the reason for the season.” After thinking for a moment I agreed. We talked about how Jesus didn’t come off His throne in Heaven for Himself. The reason Jesus came to earth and was born as a baby was because of His love for us. Let us remember the reason why we praise Jesus during Christmas. The real reason for the season is Christ's love for you and for me.
Find time to praise God for His Son. Find time to show love to those around you. Find time to feel God's love. Even if you don't feel loved, know you are loved by God. Remember John 3:16, "For God so over the world, He gave His only Son." God loved you and so He gave you His Son.
