The day that Peyton Manning was released by the Colts was a very sad day for Colts fans. I had always hoped that we would see Peyton play his entire career in Indianapolis. I'm sure it was a hard decision for Jim Irsay to let Peyton go. What Peyton did for the Colts, Indianapolis, and the state of Indiana was nothing but amazing. He made the Colts an NFL powerhouse. He led the Colts to a Super Bowl Championship. Peyton basically built a stadium for Indianapolis. He changed Indiana from an exclusively basketball state to more of a football state. Peyton will always be loved in Indiana for what he did and the legacy he left.
