Defiance

This movie tells the story of how about 1200 Jews survived during the Holocaust by living in the forests. I had expected the movie to be more about a Jewish uprising against the Nazis, but it was really more about survival. Their defiance was that they lived. There is a lot of action and battles, so it keep the movie moving and exciting. While this is not one of the great Holocaust movies it is still a very strong. The acting was very good with Daniel Craig (the new James Bond) doing a very good job. I would recommend seeing it now that it is on video.

I give this movie a “B.”
