About Me

Chuck Baker is Right! Well, I am. What I mean is that my friends always joke that I’m always right (or at least I think I am). The thing is I don’t say anything, unless I know I’m right. So it's not that I’m right about everything, but usually when I speak I know what I’m talking about. My dad always said, “Don’t speak unless you know your right.” This blog includes many subjects like religion, politics, business, movies, sports, and more. Christians Refusing Service

I disagree with those businesses that refuse service to customers, because it is for a gay wedding. A florist lost a case went she refused to do the flowers for a gay wedding.   Did she also not do weddings for non-Christian?  How about weddings for people who had sex before marriage?  If she would have been against interracial marriage based on religious beliefs would that have been ok?  That was the original purpose of marriage licenses in the first place to keep blacks and whites from getting married.

I am a Christian and a businessman so let me say I have never discriminated against any person in my business career based on race, sex, religion, disability, or sexual orientation. It has always been my belief as a Christian businessman to offer great customer service to everyone, because everyone deserves to be respected.  Also in business I'm here to make money. Everyone's money is the same color and worth the same.  Money talks and well you know what walks.

I am not afraid in my personal life or social media to talk about my religious or political beliefs, but in business I'm focused on business. I live out my faith in business and life by first living by Christ's greatest teaching to love others as I would love myself.

I've always treated my customers, my employees, and my employers with respect and integrity.  I treat everyone I come into contact with in my business relations with the same respect be they democrats or republicans, man or woman, gay or straight, atheists, Muslim, or Christian, minority or anything else I might have missed.  We are all humans worthy of respect, kindness, and love. Because in business even if we disagree in politics or religion we should still treat one another with respect and integrity.

Turning away someone because you don't believe in their lifestyle doesn't bring them to Christ it only pushes them away.  We should do business by the Golden Rule.  Treat others like we want to be treated.  How would you feel if someone refused to bring flowers to your mom's funeral because they didn't like your mom's funeral being religious?

Business and capitalism should be the great equalizer.  It should be able a company offering a product or service in exchange for money.  Keep political and religious statements out of it.  Live your faith by how you give great service, treat people fairly, offer good value, don't cheat people, and serve everyone.  Christian businesses should focus on the Golden Rule and everything else will fall into place.

But to those that celebrate and support those businesses that have stopped selling products by Trump industry or Ivanka Trump isn't that also wrong?  Isn't is wrong to punish Ivanka just because you don't like her dad.

Can't businesses stop making political statements and just do business.  It is hard enough to get good customer service today.  Just focus on doing your job as a business.
