Citrine is the birthstone of November and 13th wedding anniversary. It is actually the low cost alternative to the other November birthstone yellow topaz. Citrine is from the quartz family and named after the French word for lemon, citro. The legend is that Citrine will protect against snakes and evil thoughts.
